Pier Pressure
Ready for a delicious mocktail?

Dry January may be over, but we believe that mocktails are a great choice year-round. We asked our partner restaurant, Flamingo Lazeaway Club, to share one of their delicious mocktail recipes with us. Below we have the recipe for their newest mocktail, Pier Pressure. The drink is a take on Thai iced tea but with an added tropical flair. This recipe is a delicious combination of black tea, cardamom, star anise, honey, lime juice and Lazeaway’s exclusive Piña Colada made in-house. These ingredients create a drink that is not only delicious but also has some incredible health benefits.
Black tea contains antioxidants that can help fight heart disease and cancer, as well as help lower bad cholesterol and reduce inflammation1. Cardamom has been shown to help prevent tooth decay and bad breath2! Star anise has antibacterial properties that can help keep your body free from germs and infections3 while honey has been used for centuries as an antibacterial agent in wound healing4. All of these ingredients come together to make a mocktail that’s not only delicious but good for you too. Also, instead of using condensed milk, which is normally found in Thai tea drinks, we are getting all the fat and sugar from plant based items found in the Flamingo’s Piña Colada mix. This drink just screams vacation!
